Detour Lake

AMEC

The Detour Lake mine is located 185km NE from the town of Cochrane, a community of 5,000 residents. The deposit is situated in the area of the former Detour Lake mine that was operated by Placer Dome and produced 1.8 million ounces of gold from 1983 to 1999. The Detour Lake mine is designed as a year-round open pit operation with a modern mining camp facility to host its future 500 employees.
